  1. What trust was that sis?
  2. Hi nurse_cardio, Just wondering if you already were assigned of a COS by Barts/ ASC?
  3. COS are now available. As per my friend though, it hasn't been assigned (to him) yet.
  4. I made mention of this months back but since I received my DL in just 5 weeks without any request for re-submissions, I will just reiterate the info I previously shared. I had my nursing education in 2 unis and although only 1 school signed my Form to accompany transcript of training, I still made sure to include the course description of all my subjects taken in my 1st school. I guess the only way for us to be assured of an acceptably reasonable assessment duration is to provide all the documents pertinent to our application.
  5. Hi Shoelace, I transfered to another uni when I was an incoming 2nd year so basically, all my Nursing theoreticals and clinicals were done in 1 school (2nd school). As such, only the aforesaid filled out my NMC form. As for my Course Description document (from my 1st uni), I was only asked to send an authorization letter since a friend was the one to secure the doc in my behalf. About your case, since you took your nursing subjects and clinicals under 2 schools, sorry that I couldn't be of help. We apparently are not under the same circumstance so I have no idea how to go about it. With that, it's best to email and call the NMC, inform them of your situation and definitely, you'll have the answer that you seek. Email them at the earliest since my 1st email took 10 working days to be replied on to. All the best!
  6. Seems to me that Brexit even made it easier for us Non-EU nurses to achieve the dream of working in the UK. The recent change in the way to obtain the required score is more flexible and attainable by most, so we can expect more applications to come in the coming months.
  7. You have fulfilled the language requirement of the NMC in 1 sitting, so the IELTS UKVI you have yet to take is not for NMC anymore but for the compliance of UK Visa and Immigration requirement (OBS of 4 or 5 I think) for the issuance of tier 2 visa.
  8. Hi Seddie 151, I prepared for my CBT in a total of close to or even less than 2weeks (full time self review - no work), so that's enough time you have there. I read the domains, the Code, Adult nsg specific competencies, around 80% of the Royal Marsden book and took into heart the end of chapter questions as I found those quizes extremely helpful as there a number of questions from there that appeared in the actual test.
  9. Hi itseuniceskie, The change will actually make it easier for applicants to reach the English language requirement. In my understanding, instead of a minimum 7 in all subtests in 1 sitting, it is now acceptable to get the said scores in 2 sittings (just no scores below 6.5 and exams are within 6 months of each other). So for example, on your 1st take, your scores are: LRS - 7, W - 6.5 and on the retake: LRS - 7 (or 6.5), W - 7, that fulfills the minimum of all 7 across the board requirement. Hope my example simple and uncomplicated.
  10. No prob iampresrn! :) The NMC form must only be filled-out by your Nursing college/ uni. Afterall, your nursing subjects and clinicals were under that school. However, you must obtain the course description or theoretical hours of both your Tourism and Nursing subjects since SOME of the minor subjects from your 1st course were credited by your nursing school and is thus, included in your total BSN lecture /theory hours. For the second question, I believe only an official ink stamp or dry seal is honored. You can ask your agency or some of us here just to be sure.
  11. Hi Popeneo, Just to share with you my experience, I did not read the Blueprint AT ALL. Just the Marsden book, which btw, I managed to reach only until Chapter 12 (I missed chapters 13-15), nursing domains and Adult Nsg field specific competencies pdfs. I took and passed the exam last Feb 22 and as most, if not all of the previous passers would say, it is a lot easier than what you expect it to be.
  12. Hi iampresrn, I am on the same boat as you - only that I was a transferee and not a shiftee. First of all, whether you declare it not, your agency and the NMC will still know. Remember, the TOR of your nursing school carries with it your subjects and grades from your previous course (or in my case, school). Since transfering to another university requires the student to secure their transfer credentials from his/her last school attended in order to be enrolled, that information will then be reflected in your updated TOR. Hope this helped.
  13. I'm still waiting for an overseas document that needs to be scanned and uploaded on my NMC portal (thereby unabling me to hit the "Submit" button). If it wasn't for that document, I should be on the assessment queue within 1st week of this month (April).
  14. Hi Yogibeeear and Krisjoy! I was a previous Niner reviewee from Cebu and review classes were, and still are, conducted everyday, Monday to Friday. Saturdays on the other hand are utilized for Mock Exams and coaching.
  15. You're welcome Cha27! It's always a good thing to be of help to my fellow UK aspirant anyway. :)
