Hi People
I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
Hi all! I passed my resit! :) Yes, it's entry level nursing but don't take it lightly which i did the first time. Study everything in the online resource that the uni will give you after booking the exam. Everything's there. Practice what needs to be practiced. The student handbook tells you what to expect in the exam. Check/double check instructions. If you're unsure about something, there are recommended books from there too.. Some of them are available in your local
libraries.. You can either borrow or buy it! Most of all pray.. It's our most powerful weapon. Always remeber, everything happens according to His will and in His perfect time. Good luck and God bless fellow nurses! :)
Ariana and ashley1286 and any other Continental people I've missed:
Would any of you like to exchange contact info? I recently just passed the OSCE and I know some of you just took it or are about to so I figured we will all be starting work about the same time. I'm curious as to how your experience with continental has been and who your recruiter is. It would be great to meet up if any of you are in London. I'll be there in mid-January most likely.
I can't figure out how to PM anyone on my phone or I would try to get ahold of you guys that way.

Hi evansje, I'm here through CTN as well, but have yet to write my OSCE. We should definitely all exchange information :)
I received my decision letter last night! 😃 was placed back in the queue on sept 28 as they needed one more document resent and I received my letter today. Hooray!
Anyone have any study tips for the OSCE besides the Northampton link? I've bought a couple of the books but they don't seem to help. Also do we have to memorize any nursing diagnoses for care plans? Saw they had an indication that there was a written part and I'm thinking maybe that's what it covers? We're computer based in California so all of our charting lists diagnoses that we just click on. Thanks! [email protected] as I can't PM on here. I'm signed up with continental too. Any help is appreciated!
I am with CTN as well. Probably will be in London in January or February to sit for my OSCE. Would appreciate any help regarding study materials and would be happy to meet any other CTN nurses while I'm there too! :) thanks! [email protected]
