I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
@lg_loveliegrace, RN I just now saw your PM and I can't reply because I haven't met the minimum requirement. But I'm scheduled for my OSCE Nov 3 and I trained in the US. Have you taken yours yet?
I think that's a brilliant idea. Wonder who will organise it though? Bear in mind the rewards are great, just like with Dana she took the osce Monday, she got the result Wednesday and next day she has her PIN������ Amazing!!! I am truly inspired with that. And one more thing, OSCE is not cheap so to pass it first time will be great. So let's share our knowledge, time and skills.
I hope this will come to a reality!! I would certainly love to be a part of this when my time comes to take the OSCE.
I have my DL for over 2 weeks now, but I cannot book my OSCE until I've taken my UKVI IELTS. My employer is pegged on bringing us there by the end of November.
i got my decision letter today and booked for ocse 4 nov. Is anyone else going on same day. Plz share any ideas about preparation.
I'm taking it 4 Nov, too! I'm am having a really hard time studying. The paperwork on NILE is very confusing and with no examples I'm not sure how they expect us to fill it out.
For those of you working with Continental Travel Nurse (or anyone else for that matter), have you had any difficulties with them securing a job or getting a certificate of sponsorship? CTN hasn't let me know that they found a job for me yet, and I'm getting nervous!
May I ask if anyone here had worked in Saudi Arabia?
I am having some trouble with regards to the Registration Verification Form to be sent to the Saudi Council.
I have read previously that SCFHS is no longer willing to fill up such forms instead they just send a copy of the Certificate of Good Standing to the registration body that we are applying for such as NMC. SCFHS had sent a copy of that certificate in the email address of NMC, however, I received an email informing me that they CANNOT ASSESS DOCUMENTS SENT ELECTRONICALLY. Hence, they instructed me to send through mail the documents from SCFHS, these are: certificate of good standing and the announcement copy saying that SCFHS no longer fills up verification forms from other countries.
My problem is, I do not have a black and white or PDF copy of that announcement.
I've been calling the international number of SCFHS but the queue is very long leading me to hang up instead. I have sent them emails too regarding this but I haven't received any response from them yet.
Is anyone here who has the same issue like me?
I will deeply appreciate your views on this matter.
did you submit the uk pcc along with your application or did they ask you to submit it during the assessment. If it is so , how long it took you to receive DL since the date they have accepted your pcc in your file.

How long have you been waiting for placement? I haven't sent in my application yet. I figured I would deliver it in person before my OSCE on Nov 3. Maybe I should go ahead and send it if it's going to take awhile with placement. Have you taken your OSCE yet?
