We are now in the same boat - just found out I was accepted to the Masters of Nursing Direct Entry program at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. They want an answer by March 11th :cry: GAHHHHHHHH UIC WHY SO SLOW?!

Congratulations on getting accepted! It sucks to have such a dilemma, but getting in somewhere is better than nowhere.

I'm hoping they give their responses sooner than mid april

i am very nervous and have no clue if I got in. Also I don't know what the percentages for getting in for this cohort are, now that they have conducted all of their interviews they should have a better idea

Not all the interviews are done yet they had to reschedule some for next week! I believe the class is around 50 and there were around 200 interview spots, I'm anxious as well! Good luck

Oh no! Do we know why they moved some of the interviews?? Every other forum I have read from previous years people are saying they get an email literally around the 14th and 15th of April! AHHHHHH The waiting process is killer! Does anyone know how the admissions process goes with UIC? I know Rush has a waitlist, and some other programs have the waitlist with an option of getting accepted the following term?

Did anyone also apply to Elmhurst college? I read some older, somewhat confusing posts about the degree one would earn from UIC compared to Elmhurst. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Amandag91 I applied to Elmhurst as well but did not know they even had a program until I read your post! So I came in somewhat late to the game there. They have rolling admissions so I still sent in an application but not sure if they hold spots or how that works. I only applied maybe 3 weeks ago and have not heard anything regarding an interview thus far. Still waiting and hoping on that.

Anyone else getting anxious to hear from UIC?? I feel like it has been forever since my interview!

Out of curiosity...

it seems that UIC is pretty late in the game in getting back to applicants. Have any of you been excepted elsewhere and other decided to go there because you didn't want to place bets on uic or gave up your slot in the hopes of attending Uic. From what I hear it seems most programs already needed a response.

Thanks for sharing. I'm just trying to get a better sense of what is going on

Dikid- I committed to Elmhurst college already (there was a deadline so I had to). I'm leaning towards Elmhurst anyway since it's cheaper, but still keeping the doors open for UIC. Hopefully we'll find out in a week or so!!

Yes still waiting to hear from Elmhurst as I sent in my application a little later and of course waiting on UIC.. Fingers are crossed for both!!
