UIC Entry MS for non-RNs

Hi! I didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one. 

I just got an invitation for an interview today--eek! Anyone else?

Any tips/knowledge of what types of questions get asked in these interviews?

@redpandas9 It's gooood! I've read you got in if it changes to that! Also, don't be sad because I was expecting it since, I haven't finished all my prerequisites yet (currently working on my last two)  and they don't like that!LOL

Mine also says additional review! I'm also currently working on my last two of rereqs. Fingers crossed?

My application status also changed to "Waitlisted" ? Have you received an email to confirm your spot on the waitlist? I read that in order to confirm your spot and be considered you have to accept it. I haven't received anything yet so I am worried LOL

I was reading in previous threads that they saw a line below that that said "contact department for more info.” something along those lines. but I also saw that others said they got an email

I have not gotten an email....yet. I think it's very early, the status just changed this morning. Please try not to be worried. I have heard of people that got accepted from the waiting list even in August, two weeks before the program started, so there is hope!

Has anyone received any email updates or only portal changed? I reached out to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and he said that it just means it's still in review with the grad admissions but that we'll receive email updates in the near future. 

UIC is my only application this round and my top choice ?

Just a portal change. From what I read, the nursing school can have their recommendations but it may also need final graduate admissions approval, for instance with people who are still taking prereqs (like me)

 

Deep breaths for now, I bet we have a few more weeks for more updates

Same!! Congrats y'all! Do your emails also include "UIC Graduate College will review our recommendation for admission and if approved, you will be notified of your official admission decision via email by the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions.” So does that mean we're unofficially in? 

I checked the portal to see if it changed to accepted or something but it stills says additional review required.
