UI Chicago GEP Spring 2012

Anyone planning to apply to UIC's GEP for winter/spring 2012? (http://www.uic.edu/nursing/prospectivestudents/gep-about.shtml) The application opened on January 15 and is due March 1.

I just finished the primary application and am waiting to receive the secondary application to send out recommendation requests. Their application cycle is a bit odd and inconvenient, since most other places that start in the fall require deposits by late March into early April, and UIC doesn't inform you of your status until late April. But in the end, it's still a great program and worth a shot.

If you look at the timestamps, it appears emails came somewhere between 3:30pm and 6pm EST. So... Hang in there!! :)

I emailed Julie and she said that notification emails will be sent out April 25th and then a letter will follow. So our wait is just one more week! Best of Luck

Just wondering if Julie said the 25th or the week of the 25th... I think I need to calm down. lol

Prettylights, I was thinking the same thing. I do not think we are going to receive notifications after 5pm. I think we should stop worrying and enjoy the rest of our day. We need to relax for the rest of the evening to redo this all over again tomorrow morning...LOL!

I just found this thread; I guess it's better late than never. I am also waiting to hear from them. I emailed Julie last Friday and she said we'll hear decisions early this week. So, today should be the big day. It was helpful reading some of the threads, so thanks to all. I already received 3 acceptances that include UT-Memphis Health Science Center, George Washington, and Depaul~ in that order. However, UIC is my first choice because I'm actually interested in doing research. The wait is making me incredibly crazy. :) Good luck to all.

Welcome Dancer! Congrats on your other acceptances! Hopefully you will add UIC to that list. I hope we hear decisions today although I'm hoping not to get as tense as yesterday.
