UHV Second Degree BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

Hi all, anybody out there applying for this program? I haven't seen an updated thread on it yet. I just finished applying to UHV- just waiting on NursingCAS to receive my final transcript for my application to be considered "complete" I'm also applying to UTHSCH UTHSCSA accelerated programs, and TWU-Houston traditional BSN program. I have my B.S. in Human Biology from UT Austin in Spring 2010. My undergrad GPA was definitely less than stellar, but all my pre-req coursework is not too bad. What is y'alls impression of this program?

After all the wait, I am super excited that our interview is tomorrow! Yay!! :yes:

@lbaum We have to bring our CPR card? It's mandatory? Just wondering...:nailbiting:

@jennytmuw, I think we might need to bring the CPR card, because on the letter/e-mail they sent us inviting us to the interview, it says "Provide original, current healthcare provider CPR card from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Please submit a copy of the card to ... prior to Friday, November 22nd at 5:00 pm."

We might not need it, but I am bringing mine just in case :)

I'm not sure about the traffic on Hwy 6 :( I will be coming from Katy, so I will just take 99 down to 59. Hopefully there won't be that much traffic tomorrow since we will be leaving so early!

I hope to run into at least one of y'all tomorrow as well! I'm so excited and nervous that this day is actually here!!

@Baylorfairy13, for me, I know by 7am traffic on hwy 6 is terrible, so I was hoping to be well beyond that before traffic sets in... O.o better super early than late, though! Hope to meet some of you as well! My name is April in real life :D just in case we happen to cross paths! :)

Definitely plan to be there earlier than later! Also, make sure you can sign into your email which is different than your UHV system login!

My dog just chewed up my fast pass paper!! I am completely freaking out! Just my luck...10 he's til the interview. Does anyone know if I can print out my confirmation email perhaps? The email said something about a letter from Texas Board of Nurses but I never received one. Just have the payment confirmation email and my ripped up fast pass :(

Yikes, sorry to hear that... You may just want to bring in the ripped fast pass and explain the incident. I would also contact the office you got fingerprinted at to see if they can email you a copy to print out tomorrow. Stay positive and good luck :)

Do you have the Fast Pass application form? It says you can bring that with sections 1-3 filled out. It should be attached in the interview email we received.
