UHV Second Degree BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

Hi all, anybody out there applying for this program? I haven't seen an updated thread on it yet. I just finished applying to UHV- just waiting on NursingCAS to receive my final transcript for my application to be considered "complete" I'm also applying to UTHSCH UTHSCSA accelerated programs, and TWU-Houston traditional BSN program. I have my B.S. in Human Biology from UT Austin in Spring 2010. My undergrad GPA was definitely less than stellar, but all my pre-req coursework is not too bad. What is y'alls impression of this program?

Hi! Yes, you don't have to have the blue card, just bring the signed FAST pass form to the interview! Also, be sure you can log into your UHV email account!

So I'm curious.. How many of you would need to completely move to another city if accepted into the program? It seems like a lot of people already live in the area...

This is a question for any current students. Approximately, how long did it take until you heard back from UHV, after the interview? Thank you!

I emailed the person we confirmed our interview with, and she said we should find out by the end of the week. I informed her that I accepted at another program and the orientation is on Friday the 6th. She said I should know about acceptance to uhv before then

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! In preparation for the interview, I was looking over my UHV login and noticed I can only log in with my User ID number and not my email ([email protected]) that the login page suggests. Has anyone experienced this? Guess my nerves are kicking in now and just want to make sure there are no hiccups on Monday.

Hmm, I can only log in with my student ID as well, but I guess I just assumed that was fine. I wonder if we will need to be able to log in with our e-mail address as well? I am getting pretty nervous too! The interview is only 3 days away! All of our waiting is finally almost over :)

Yea, not sure but perhaps our User ID # is fine. I may be just overthinking things at this point. :) I know, can't believe the big day is almost here! Best of luck to all of you!!!

Same story for me too! I had a freak out moment on Friday because I couldn't remember my pw and I attempted reset but for some reason my security questions weren't matching up. Help desk would be closed until 8 am Monday... Had a mini break-down bc there goes my chances of acceptance! Luckily, I was able reset the password and safely login. I went ahead and sent a test email with an attachment to be sure I know how to send an email through this interface.... I'm used to gmail. :D I'm getting rather nervous now, as well! I'm going to haveTo take Zzzquil tonight bc otherwise I don't think I could sleep! Lol anyone have any idea of the traffic on highway 6 going south from 529 or even fromi 10? I live in the Katy/Cy fair area. Planning to leave by 615 to be there at least 15 mins early.

You live in the Katy CyFair area and leaving at 6:15?? Maybe I need to leave earlier...I live in the Kingwood/Humble Area and was planning on leaving at 6:00 am....but maybe it needs to be early. And I am with you on the zzzquil....but Ill have to take it at like 7 so its out of my system in the morning. Hopefully adrenaline will be going. I am excited to meet everyone!
