UH Sugarland 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2021

Hi everyone! I'll be applying to UH Sugarland's second degree bsn program this upcoming spring. I have a bachelors in Biology. I would love to hear from others who are applying as well. Best of luck!

Yeah my group had a few that didn't have Word either.  I counted at the end and it was 155 participants 24 were staff. I think somebody said it was around 100 accepted, not sure though.

Just received an email that notification will not go out this week because drug screen results haven’t been received yet.

I received my acceptance email at 3:50pm

Congratulations! What day did you take the drug test? Pretty sure I took mine on Tuesday last week. I figured they’d have received it by now.

hello! I got accepted into this nursing program! I thought I would share my stats with future applicants. I also want to say that I have failed two classes before but I retook them and got B's. So just because you have failed some courses doesn't mean you should feel discouraged about not being competitive enough. Believe in yourself and I promise you that you will get accepted! 

Stats: 

B.S. in Public Health GPA: 3.53

Nursing GPA: 3.7

TEAS: 87.3 

Interview: The interview was pretty chill but I want you to think about why you truly want to be a nurse and what type of nurse you want to be. Before my interview, I read over my personal statement for UTMB and that really helped me remember what it takes to be a successful nurse.

Pre Req GPA: 3.44

TEAS: overall: 90.7, reading: 91.5, math: 96.9, science: 87.2, english and language usage: 83.3
