UH Sugarland 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2021

Published

Hi everyone! I'll be applying to UH Sugarland's second degree bsn program this upcoming spring. I have a bachelors in Biology. I would love to hear from others who are applying as well. Best of luck!

Hey there! I am applying as well. I just scheduled my TEAS exam, and I am scheduled to take my last pre-req (Foundations of Chemistry) this Summer.

Hello! I obtained my bachelors in Health from UH in May 2018! I am a bit nervous and was actually wondering if we could apply to the traditional as well?

Does anyone know if UH nursing will accept pass/fail pre-req courses? There is something on their website about pass/fail grades but it is directed to their undergraduate students. I cannot find anything else about it on their website, and I don't know who to email.

I imagine that this is going to be an issue for many students who completed their pre-reqs during the corona virus pandemic. Some schools are offering the pass/fail option over a traditional grade.

Just thought I would come back and let y'all know what I learned, since I did receive a response for this question. Just in case anyone else is curious/ wondering. Pass/fail courses will be accepted as pre-reqs, but the traditional letter is grade is preferred due to the competitive nature of the program.

Hello, I'm applying for Spring 2021 as well. Have you taken the TEAS yet?

Hi all! I'm a UH alumnus who is applying for this start date as well. All my pre-reqs are done and I'm taking the TEAS in July. Practice exam results are good so far - anatomy was the hardest hit (2015/2016 was a wild time). Should have paid more attention to Dr. Wayne and Dr. Gill in class ?

Same here! Took A&P back in 2015 and I’m kinda worried for that section? How are you studying for it? Is it worth spending $50 on the practice test?

Hey everyone! I'll be applying for this cohort as well ? My TEAS is scheduled for the end of June

Hi all! I am interested in this program for the future. I have a couple of questions that might seem stupid (just overwhelmed). I was wondering when the ideal time is to apply for the program? When to take the TEAS? I also would like to know when some of yall applied and what other things are needed for the application. Thank you in advance, wish you all the best! :)

Im applying too! I just took the TEAS and wanted to know what scores are considered competitive for UH Sugarland. Does anyone know?

75 on each section.

I think the program coordinator said the average was a 90 for last years cycle!
