Is anyone looking at University of Hawaii's MEPN program for Fall 2012? I'm originally from Honolulu and would LOVE to go back and do this program. Especially since I would pay in-state tuition! :)
I've looked over the lengthy forum about the program from 2009. Is there anyone who went to UH's program that started this Fall? I would be quite interested to hear your stats (GPA, etc.) and to find out how many people applied and how many were accepted/matriculated this year. I will also be taking A&P 2 and Microbiology in the Spring and I am curious if that will hurt me since I am not done with all the prereqs. They say you just have to finish them by July, but I am wondering if that is really true.
Any info previous MEPN people can give me would be great. Thanks!
Yes! It has! Sadly, I am not too confident in my chances this year. I know the pool is highly competitive and I am just hoping my essay pays off! It's fun to dream though and to share our anxiety!

Good point, MissHolland... There are 6 days left in February, which is technically "By March!" Looks like the day we've all been waiting for is soon! Everyday when I check the mail, I have a little pit in my stomach. LOL!
I'm probably being overly optimistic but I sure wouldn't mind "by" March meaning "by" the end of next week! Excited and as anxious as each one of you =)
As I left to go walk to our mailbox yesterday, I said to my husband "I'm going to go disappoint myself at the mailbox now.." He laughed. He knows it's not March yet either, but I think he gets more nervous than I do.
This process is not easy. Putting yourself out there is difficult. We all deserve to be proud that we are going after something that is important to us. Hopefully we will hear in the next few days, but I have been preparing myself that we might not hear until April 1 since the website said we will hear "by end of March". Checking this site at least once a day now.....will post if and when I hear something.
It's driving me crazy because (as I've said in like 3 posts now, LOL) they seemed to have heard by phone the first week of March last year. This whole by mail, by the end of March thing just isn't cool with me! =) Not to mention no interviews should have sped the process in my opinion?!
