UH Manoa Nursing Fall 2014

Did anyone here apply for Fall 2014 admission to Manoa's School of Nursing? We're supposed to be notified in late March and I'm getting really anxious!

I don't know if any of you even read all these posts anymore, but I was just wondering if anyone is taking PHRM203 during the summer? Because I was thinking of doing that just to get it out of the way, but the teachers that teach it during the summer have horrible reviews!

Kiana, I didn't take PHRM 203 during the summer, but I heard Dr. Farmer's online class from Maui college is supposed to be pretty easy (: ..Not sure if he offers it during the summer, but you might want to check! (:

BTW localboi, which school did you go to and do you have any advice for us new nursing students? :)

Kiana I took Farmer from maui for phrm203. He's super awesome! Passed with an A.hes funny also! He has summer courses. Did you take stat115? I'm taking it this summer with beran from Maui. And then no more pre-reqs for me :)

also if any of you need to get your AHA BLS CPR. I know an instructor who will come to your house or choice of location to do it with you. He's awesome! Let me know and I can give you his contact number. Michael sent something out today. UH offers it for free you just need to purchase the manual. And each class has 10-12 seats open.

Localboi you work at queens? I work there. It's an awesome hosp. That will be leaning towards having their nurses have BsN due to it being a magnet hospital.

@Cupycake & @Ellers: Oh you guys took it at Maui Community College? I don't need to apply over there do I? Since I'm already in the UH system? O_o or do I? lol. But thanks guys! I'll probably take Farmer then (:

Kiana all you need to do is fill out the dual enrollment form but since you are taking it during the summer I don't think you need too. But I would call your home institution just to be sure. I took a class summer at lcc and don't remember filling it out. He still has a lot of opening for his class. You do need to buy the book online. He made his own book using the power points he's lectures off. Saves tons of money!!!

Localboi I'm the division admin secretary for 5 units. Which are the units my boss looks over. I'm on the 2nd floor (sorry don't want to say which specific unit. Don't know who from my unit are on here) lol

Have any of you gotten your flu shot? I went to 3 different Longs and 1 Walgreens and they all say they don't have it anymore b/c it's off season. They'll only have the new vaccine in August. Does anybody know of some place that still has it?
