UH Manoa GEPN Cohort 2022

Published

Just checking in to see if anyone will be applying to UH Manoa's GEPN program next week. I'm nervous for the application process so if you guys have any advice or questions, I made this forum for us!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!! I received the email my application is being held and still under review.

For those accepted- which track did you apply to? FNP or Adult?

Also what was your GPA range? I applied with a 3.4 undergrad and a 3.8 pre-req

Also for those accepted are you all from Hawaii or from the mainland?

I’m from Hawaii!

Is it too late to apply now? I just recently learned about the program and would like to apply this year. How competitive is it?

It is not too late to apply, I believe the deadline ends in march or February. it does seem to be very competitive due to the amount of applications submitted this year. it seems in-state applicants found out yesterday regarding the admission. I am out of state on the east coast and my application is still under review.

What is it like over there? Do you love living in Hawaii?

Cost of living is high, but I grew up here and I prefer living here as opposed to the mainland.

I agree with nurse1111111. It’s not too late but it is a rolling admissions so they will accept applications as they are received. The sooner you apply the better! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. I applied for the GEPN-MSN and my application is still in review. I’m out of state.

I used to live there and have family there. Do they give preference to those who have ties to the state?

When did you guys submit?

it seems that all in state heard first about acceptance which makes sense. I’m from boston and was told my application is still under review and being held

I am not too sure on that. During the info session, they said there's no preference for in-state applicants. Although, UH's mission and vision are focused on people of Hawaii.
