UH Manoa GEPN Cohort 2022

Just checking in to see if anyone will be applying to UH Manoa's GEPN program next week. I'm nervous for the application process so if you guys have any advice or questions, I made this forum for us!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew how much the tuition is for the GEPN program at UH Manoa? I went on the website and it said about $1000 per credit for resident. So the first year would be around $49,000?

Its roughly 18k/sem for resident tuition.

Yes that’s what my financial aid account is calculating for the pre licensure/first year. About $25k a semester.

No problem! Im in the current cohort and the prelicensure year is broken down into 3 parts. Fall, Spring, Summer. About $18k per semester is what I had to finance as a resident.

Does anyone know if the nursing polo shirts fit big or small? It looks like we need to preorder it from the bookstore

I bought mine in the beginning of June and I feel it’s true to size. I say it’s preference actually. If you want it a little bigger, it’s okay to go a size up.

I was wondering the same. I’m usually a medium so when I tried on the small, it fit snug. So it is true to size

Its true to size for the most part. Also,

when I entered the program last year the cohort before us were selling their scrubs and polos for cheap. I'll be selling my scrub tops and polo once clinicals are done. 
we used our polo shirts maybe 4 times.

How many scrub tops and polos do you recommend we get? On the email, they said some people recommend 2 polos, but would 1 be enough since we only use it 4 times?

Hey! Anyone have any advice on textbooks? Kinda want to know which professors really use the information from the textbook and which professors pick and choose their important information and make their own PowerPoint slides for the class. I hate to buy/rent textbooks if professors don’t use it. Any information is appreciated!

Hi! For our cohort, some of my classmates wanted the physical book and also got access to the PDF. They uploaded the pdf into our cohort Google drive to share as a with the rest of the cohort.
