UH MANOA GEPN COHORT 2021

Published

I’m surprised that no one has created a forum for Cohort 2021 yet when application opens in a few weeks. Anyone here planning to apply to Manoa’s GEPN ‘21 program or is already in the program willing to give advice? Pointers? Feel free to share ??‍⚕️

Congrats to all who were accepted! I just received my acceptance letter to the GEPN DNP program via email. I submitted my application on Sept 2 and it was processed by Graduate Admissions on Sept 17.
It seems this cycle is slightly different compared to past years. Based on previous forums, many past accepted students received an email stating that they were "recommended for admission" first and then received their official acceptance letter via snail mail. However, this was not the case for me. I just received my acceptance letter via email.

Thanks, FutureNPEmma and congratulations! I will keep a lookout for both email and mail just in case. From what I see with the timeline process of submitting applications, they are sending out the acceptance or denial about a month later. If that is the case, I am assuming to hear sometime next month!

I also applied this month so I'm wondering if they are just doing them in order like you said...

I received my acceptance letter! Congratulations to everyone else who has received good news. So excited! All the hard work and stress throughout the pandemic has paid off. Can't wait to start this journey!

My application was under review since 9/23, but if we didn't receive an email regarding an acceptance letter does that we got denied?

I would continue to wait until you do receive any type of verification. I am unsure if we are able to follow up because I was informed via email that they will mail the decision (assuming via email or USPS).

Congratulations Sethc! I'm a bit confused because I was told that the letters would be send via mail or are they also sending through email? I'm patiently waiting for my results, which I am assuming that I may hear by November time since you and potato_nurse had both applied in September. What program track did you apply to? I'm wondering if they're notifying for the MS and DNP unless they're doing the MS first. Thanks!

Nice!! I was in between the MS and the DNP but I applied for the DNP. I'll follow up with everyone once I get my results. Thanks!

Thank you! From what I remember from last year, acceptances were emailed and sent a letter through mail, while rejections were only through mail. Since you applied later you might be part of next month's news! Good luck!

Also, I got into the DNP AGPCNP track!

Hi guys!

just got my acceptance letter today!
