UFV September 2018

Hello fellow potential UFV Nursing students,

I have completed my application for Fall 2018 BSN intake and I thought that I would start a thread for open discussions, what marks everyone is applying with, concerns and such. Good luck to everyone!

I was so excited when I saw the email from All Nurses saying there was an Update on this thread...

You can imagine my disappointment when I found out that there is STILL NOTHING!! :banged:

We got a lot of waiting up ahead. After the info session we have to wait for the interviews and then their final decision UGH!

It's gonna be a long couple months...

Hey!!! I just got an invite to the info session on April 5th!!! I'm so excited and nervous!!!

I was a little worried because it's from 4-6pm and that's the exact same time as Stats 104. So I called up and they switched it to the 4th!!! Thank God!!

Anybody else received an invite?

I got an invite to the info session I think.

It was an email listing the date, time, and location for the info session anyway.

Didn't really see that coming tbh.

Heyyyy guys, I just got an invite to the April 4th one as well. Anyone else get their invite? I'm extremely nervous. Does anyone know what to expect? Hope to see all you guys there, it'll be so nice to finally meet you guys.

This is awesome!!

I was told by someone who attended the info session last intake that the essay question was like: "What are three problems or challenges that nurses face in health care?" something along the lines of that.

Watch out for spelling mistakes and apparently writing in paragraph form is good as a lot of people did bother to do that...

Other than that I'm not sure what else we do?

Is this everyone's first time?

It's my first time so I only know what other people have told me.

Are any of you guys coming from Surrey/Vancouver area?

I hope the essay is not to hard, I have heard that the essay is probably the hardest part, the rest of the info session is just the faulty talking about the program. I am so nervous guyss!!

Did you need a ride? Or were you thinking about carpooling in future?

Yeah the essay is probably the hardest part. I also heard that they want to see how well you do under pressure...like if you can finish it in the half hour and all that.

Okay for those of you who are attending the Info session on April 4th could you please fill us in, my girlfriend and I are attending April 5th I know we are asking for a lot! but would help us so much we are freaking out !!!

Yea girl of course. I hope it's the same essay question, that's the one thing I'm super nervous about. How do we even prep for that?
