UFV September 2017 Applicants

Published

Hey Everyone :o)

I thought that I would start a September 2017 intake thread. It is a bit early compared to other threads, but we can chat as we prepare for the deadline. What applicants are applying with and chat about the program or anxiety.

Based off the other forums they usually send out the info session invites early March

I think only the people with the highest GPA's get invited to info sessions. Based on previous years it looks like they invite everyone with a GPA of 3.5 and up.

They use your high school grades, they don't convert them to the UFV grading scale. /In the program.

Hey guys! I applied back in December with 3 A's and 1 A-. I have 3 years experience working in a lab.. hopefully I get in! Heard it's really competitive to get in...I've been checking my email everyday! So nervous

Has anyone heard anything?

I called the health studies office, and apparently they are hosting the information session a little later this year, and it's most likely taking place the second week of April (so we should hear by the end of march or first week of April). She also mentioned that not everyone is invited to the information session, and that she is unsure what the gpa cut off is this year because they're still reviewing everyone.

I wonder if there was a lot more applicants this year and that's why it's taking longer?

Thanks for calling! Maybe more people applied, or maybe they are being more thorough and selective this term?

Did you guys apply to other schools as well? :nailbiting:

I've only applied to UFV

Is anyone here applying for the first time?

I am pretty sure our GPA is determined by the ufv grading scale as its stated on the ufv website

I can't stand this waiting period!!! Let me know if any of you guys hear anything. :)

I got my e-mail yesterday for the info session!
