Any idea how many people are usually waitlisted at UF?

Hey guys! I also applied for fall 2011...and i'm so worried! I am a UCF student, and just got my nursing rejection from them. I have a 3.56 overall GPA, and a 3.87 prerequisite GPA. I have been of course looking at plan b's...but nothing else seems interesting to me, gah! I realize I have a slimmer chance of getting in since i'm a transfer student, which is why I really thought UCF was going to be the one...bummer. What are the GPA's of you guys applying?

sohopeful27, I know what you mean! I was chosen as an alternate for USF (where I go now). This makes me nervous about my chances as a UF transfer. Luckily, UF sees grades from the end of this spring semester. This gives us a chance to bring up our GPAs :]

It is so stressful...I wish the choice wasn't based strictly on gpa...but of course schools want the best of the best. So are you waitlisted at usf nursing currently? What is your gpa if you don't mind me asking? Thank you so much and goodluck to you too! :)

Yes, I'm an alternate. I find out any day now :]

I have a 3.61 overall and 3.96 nursing GPA. My overall GPA should go up at the end of this semester. If I do as well as I think I can, I should have a 3.7

hey hopeful44! no I didn't hold a job and did minimal non-health related volunteering. My roommate who did get in told me that they mostly looked at gpa and also your personal statement on the application. That's all I really know. I'm not even sure how many were waitlisted. Sorry, I wish I knew more! Best of luck to you and everyone else (:

Hey guys! I also applied for fall 2011 and the anticipation is killing me. I can't believe that we won't be hearing back until JUNE! Does anyone know which CoN is more competitive: FSU or UF? Thanks!

I honestly have no idea, but I didn't get in to fsu so I'm hoping fsu is more competitive lol. What is your gpa?

3.75. How about yourself? I didn't get into FSU either :-(. But I read on the FSU thread that they accept FSU students and in-state residents before transfer out of state students, so I didn't have a chance anyway.

I'm sorry...I was so upset, so I know how u felt. I had a 3.56 overall and 3.87 prerequisite. It's not great, but I never thought I'd get rejected from everywhere
