UF accelerated BSN 2021

Published

Hey everybody! Anyone applying for the above mentioned program? I haven't had luck finding any threads, in regard to this, for that specific year. I would like to find people who are so we can keep in touch through this process.

Did anyone get like a really bad score on the HESI. Because I did. I had like really bad anxiety and I was super stressed and it took me like 2 hours to connect to a Proctor.
im just really stressed out about my score

Try not to stress too much about it. I have looked over posts for the 2020 BSN cohort. There was one person who had all 90's in every subject with a high GPA and they still didn't get accepted to UF, whereas with other people who had lower scores did. It just goes to show that they look at the application holistically.

I have everything done with my application but this one question- "Describe ways you are able to show others you care about them, yet do not compromise other people's needs and requirements". I cant for the life of me figure out what its asking. Anyone able to translate it?

Also, just to clarify, our HESI scores get automatically sent to UF, right? There's no need to do anything with them after you take the exam.

That one was the hardest for me, as well. I actually had to ask my parents and other people what they thought that it meant. I'm not sure if this is what they meant by it, but I used how I show my husband and children that I care about them without compromising the needs of the other (basically, how to handle the delicate balance of showing someone that you care and not depriving the other person of that same care and affection).

READ THIS IF YOU'RE CONFUSED ABOUT "RECEIVED VS COMPLETED"

Hey guy, I checked my NursingCAS application today and it said "received". I called NursingCAS and asked them if it needed to say "submitted/completed" and why is said "received". They told me that it says "received" because they have not received my unofficial transcripts and that I would need to contact my school to see what their requirements are. I called (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she said that she reviews the transcripts, anyway, so it's fine not to turn them in through NursingCAS. As long as the application has been submitted (NursingCAS verified that mine was on 10/29), then you are good. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said that every school is different, some requiring it to be (and state) completed in NursingCAS. UF does not require that.

Mine says verified… where should it say complete??

When did you submit yours? Mine still says received. I'm wondering if (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) changes it to verified, somehow, when she verifies all the information.

@Katina Pappas Hey! So I got an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) yesterday that UF received my HESI score but not my application. I submitted my app Monday around 830 pm and (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) told me that it will take 24 hours for her to be able to review our applications, but they will go off the timestamp of when It was submitted. So, as long as you submitted by the due date you should be good!

Oh wow thank you!! That’s a relief ?

I just spoke w/ NursingCAS, after talking to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), because I wanted to verify that the school can still access the application. NursingCAS said that as long as it is submitted, then the school can still access the application. It just will not say verified, but that does not mean that UF cannot access it.

Thank you and everyone for the help. Sorry to stir up some unnecessary anxiety about the app! Best of luck to everyone ?

Mine does. I don't think that NursingCAS will change that. It will say it unless I submit my unofficial transcripts.

Just curious but does anyone know the acceptance rate for both the Jacksonville and Gainesville campuses? How many people apply and get in approximately?
I’m already so nervous!!

I don’t know how many people apply, but (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said there are about 70 seats in Gainesville and 40 in Jax.

I've read in previous threads on this forum that it's 100 for Gville and 70 for Jax. Don't quote me on that, though. I'm thinking it may be closer to what Jennavocado said.

I'm hoping that we all have a higher chance of getting in this year, in light of everything thats happening. UF's enrollment rate for fall was around 57% (I think). People just aren't wanting to go to a brick and mortar school right now, and a lot don't want to go into health care. I figure that if I have a chance to get in...this year is it!
