Hey everybody! Anyone applying for the above mentioned program? I haven't had luck finding any threads, in regard to this, for that specific year. I would like to find people who are so we can keep in touch through this process.
As my mom always said to me, you never start a relationship on the left foot. And since the beginning, this program has showed nothing but disorganization, selfishness, and etc. I will be continuing my education at the University of Miami, which has proven to me why they are #1 in the state and why UF is not #1. Have a great night everybody! Don’t let this school deter you and make you feel like you’re any less the way they have been. You’re all going to be great nurses someday.

I want to make sure ladies you know that we all are awesome, and this situation is not about denial, it is about being treated the same and with basic human decency. This was not the case.
Please never fear to speak up when unfairness happens, don't be silent. We have to advocate for ourselves, and for our patients in the future. I'm a future midwife and my voice has always been strong and I will continue using it, whenever I feel is needed.
Good luck to everyone!
You’re a wonderful human being that has such a strong fire burning within to have the courage to stand up for what is right. You advocated for all of us left standing and I sincerely thank you. May God bless you and you continue to thrive in this world as a strong and confident woman. ✊?????
Best wishes to you and to everyone else that was left in limbo. I’m sorry this happened to us, but I promise this isn’t the end.
Much love and peace. ❤️☮️
Just so mething I wanted to share with future applicants correspo nding to a previous comment I made regarding the HESI exam which also correlates with the level of disorganization many applicants witnessed. Nothing against the advisors, but this was a big concern for me that I wanted to put out there. I had mentioned in a previous comment that the first email that was sent out to us stated that we could take the HESI exam as many times as we like. Then, that email was quickly retracted by a second email letting us know that we are only allowed to take the exam ONCE per cycle. This is not a retaliation, only for awareness because these emails put a lot of pressure on me personally. I am not the best standardized test taker and have always needed at least two attempts to successfully pass these types of exams such as the GRE for my master’s degree. Anyways, the images are available below for whoever to view.

I also got a rejection email. I wish I could say it was unexpected but it's still heartbreaking. Good luck to you and everyone else on your journeys!

Agreed, I feel like this gives some freedom to do what I was on the fence to do before. I'm so happy that you're going to be an RD! Best of luck in your Master's program ?
Thanks for sending that and advocating for us. I hope that you get into a great program. Your willingness to stand up against unfairness will make you a great midwife, especially as so many women have painful stories of mistreatment in childbirth. I'm happy you're continuing on that path.
You're such an encourager! Best of luck, and I hope you get in and continue pursuing your dreams!! Thanks for the HESI advice, too. I bet that will be super helpful for people to know in the future.
And congrats again to those who have been accepted! Good luck in the program. Even though it's been way messier of an application process than I'd hoped or expected, I hope that this helps them iron out issues early so you have a smooth experience in school.
