UF accelerated BSN 2021

Published

Hey everybody! Anyone applying for the above mentioned program? I haven't had luck finding any threads, in regard to this, for that specific year. I would like to find people who are so we can keep in touch through this process.

SOS where is NursingCas do you submit your scores. I got an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) saying she had not received them from Evolve and I needed to submit them in NursingCas.

@gnurse12 Go to Academic History and it is under Standardized Tests.

Super close to the deadline, so not sure if I can even do anything about it...  But I looked at my application status and it says "Received". Other apps that I have sent in say "complete". I've never used NursingCas before, so I'm not sure what this means? Am I missing something? Hopefully I didn't wack something up when I auto-entered my transcripts ?

Screenshot with what my app is saying.

^^Ignore this... I refreshed my page after a few minutes and it now says "Complete". That probably gave me a few grey hairs LOL

Gotcha, thank you! Yes I had everything all done and just submitted it tonight. It must've needed a minute to think. ?

I was trying to investigate and I found this: https://help.liaisonedu.com/NursingCAS_Applicant_Help_Center/Submitting_and_Monitoring_Your_NursingCAS_Application/Before_and_After_You_Submit_Your_NursingCAS_Application/02_Check_Your_NursingCAS_Notifications_and_Status

Seems like your application is totally done (good job!). Did you submit it a while ago? I admit I submitted mine super late.. like 30 min ago. So it makes sense that mine hasn't said verified yet. I think the end goal here is for it to say "verified". I checked the UF website and it said that all materials should be received by the deadline, so I think (hope) that means my app can still be considered.

So I had some difficulty with obtaining letters with two of the people I requested letters from (they still haven't sent them in). Fortunately, two of the other requests were received so I met the required amount for the program but my application still shows as 'received' with the dropdown showing the pending letter requests along with the completed letter requests. Did anyone else have a similar situation? I'm concerned with the incomplete requests that my application will stay in a 'received' status due to this ?

I am not really sure as I understand the application deadline to be the last date you can submit a completed application. When I looked at the NursingCAS notifications though this was in the notification about my application being received (click to enlarge):

Ignore this, there's an option to delete those pending requests

Yeah it honestly does seem confusing. I'm new to using NursingCAS and probably should have familiarized myself with it a little more prior to the due date. Based on the verbiage in the UF page and the NursingCAS info page, I'm going to assume "submitted" = "received". In other words, if we submit the application, the materials will be received. Then after the stuff is received, it will be organized and if everything checks off the list, then your application is "complete". Once it is complete, the stuff inside the app is ready to get "verified". I guess they just make sure the reported GPA and such is correct? Then once it's verified, admissions can peek at it.

I think that after december 1st, we can't turn in any new items. But maybe if a question about something arises, they will inquire about it? Instead of throw away the app. I'm not sure, I'm just guessing here.

@Katina Pappas Hey! So I got an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) yesterday that UF received my HESI score but not my application. I submitted my app Monday around 830 pm and (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) told me that it will take 24 hours for her to be able to review our applications, but they will go off the timestamp of when It was submitted. So, as long as you submitted by the due date you should be good!
