Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

I'm in Gainesville too and I didn't get anything yet.

I'm in Gainesville and I'm still waiting.

I also didn't receive anything:( I called ken foote and made sure acceptances and rejections were sent on the same day and he said that they were. So hopefully we hear by tomorrow!

That was my immediate thought as well (because I overthink everything) but it wouldn't make much sense for them to send out different decisions at different times. I think the postal system is to blame here.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Yeah I totally agree! I freak out as well, but all letters were sent on the same day so different parts of gainesville just get it at different times I guess!

I too am here in Gainesville and haven't received anything yet. Hoping that tomorrow is the day!

I didn't get into to UF but thankfully I will be going to Columbia! I would appeal but since I am not going to UF I will not bother.

Ken:

Can you explain the appeal process and how it works. Do people actually get in from their appeals?

How does someone get accepted by Columbia and not UF?

That's awesome NURSINGFANATIC...congratulations!

Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear something!

I got denied to UF yesterday morning and then accepted to Johns Hopkins in the afternoon.... so weird how it all works out.

Congrats everyone! I got in as well. Cant wait to meet everybody!

Has anyone heard anything about what this program will actually be like? How "accelerated" is this program compared to the regular BSN? For example, I heard that UNF's ABSN students get half the time in clinicals as the traditional students. Is this going to be similar to that?
