Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

The mail person has not visited my apartment complex yet. I have to be to work for 3 p.m. I'm hoping it comes before I have to leave.

Congratulations! Mind letting us know your stats?

I graduated from UF with a BA in history (of all things) in 2012 with 3.96 GPA. I've been taking my prereqs at Santa Fe with a 4.0. My GRE was 160 verbal, 163 math (4.5 on the essays... I think). At the time I applied, I'd just been an office manager at a tech company/some other part-time odd jobs and no experience/volunteering in healthcare. Shortly after I applied though, I started at Shands, so things fell into place at the right time! I only applied here. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the class!

I live in Gainesville and was accepted.

Congrats guys! Can't wait to meet you!

Has anyone received a rejection letter? I wonder if both acceptance and rejections went out the same day for gainesville

My best friend was awesome enough to go to my house and get the letter before coming back up! She called me with the news: I GOT IN! I'm so excited to meet you all (:

Congratulations to everyone!! I am so thankful to God that I was accepted! I am so excited to meet you all :)

Hi Everyone.

Yes, this Ken Foote from the UF College of Nursing. I do check these posts from time to time and like to check in when or if needed.

I know everyone has been very anxious to get their letters and I assure you all letters have gone out in the mail as of last Wednesday. It does take a few days for the mail to process out because of the processing center here on campus and because mail gets sent to Jacksonville for processing now.

Both admit and denial letters were sent so most everyone should be receiving something either way. I would ask that if you haven't received anything by the end of the day Wednesday, then you can feel contact me.

I know that decisions went out about the same time this year as last year, even though this year was a little later than I had hoped. As I'm sure you can imagine this process takes time and I do my best to get things out as quickly as I can.

If you have any questions regarding you are welcome to get in touch with me via email at. Calling can be difficult but you are welcome to give me a call as well in the office. Here's my contact info (I apologize for the very out of date photo): Kenneth Foote » College of Nursing » University of Florida

Also, Mail just arrived at my house in Orlando.

I was accepted too! Can't wait to meet everyone. :)

@Ken Foote, Thanks for everything you have been doing for us! We really appreciate the updates.

I was accepted!!! Thank you everyone here for being so supportive of each other! We are going to be UF nursing students and we already have a bond!!!!! Don't know about the rest of you but I cried for a solid minute! Nothing in my life has been this emotional for me save the birth of my daughter...this is such an honor!

GO GATORS!!!

Congrats Gatorandrew and congrats everyone else!!!!

Unfortunately, it seems like I've hit some bad luck and my letter wasn't in Gainesville today. Hopefully tomorrow is the day for me!! Anybody else waiting in Gainesville or am I the only one?
