Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

In Gville, and still no letter :/

Did the mail person already come to your place or are you sill waiting on them to arrive?

Congratulations everyone! I have made a facebook group for our class! Feel free to join and ask questions here :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/356418151213290/

Our mail person normally comes around like 2:30 p.m. I'm hoping it's in there today. As Ken said, if you don't have it by tomorrow's mail then let him know. If that's the case with us. Then they need to just e-mail the letter. BTW. If it's just a small envelope and not a package why wasn't it e-mailed in the first place? Wouldn't that have saved a lot of time and frustration?

Yep. They already came:/ blehh

I think acceptances and denials would be considered academic records, and therefore wouldn't really be allowed to be emailed for security reasons. I was a TA and we couldn't talk about grades or anything like that over the phone or via email.

Which also might explain why they don't give your status via phone call.

As for snail mail being more secure - I'm pretty sure it is a federal crime to tamper with someone else's mail.

Happy for you skendall88!

I was recruited by Johns Hopkins, but assumed I had no chance so didn't apply. Are you going for the pre-licensure MSN?

It is a Federal crime to tamper with the mail. However, I've seen several places that have a specific online site that you can log on to and get information. Like you have to answer a few questions and then you're able to see it.

Also, my husband is from a different country and he said UF e-mailed his and his brother's acceptance letter and then when they got here they gave them their package. So, they do make exceptions to the rules.

It seems like most of the people who are saying they got accepted are previous UF students. Anyone else come from a non-UF background?

My mail came also and no letter. It doesn't make sense
