Hello!
It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.
I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!
I would love to hear about everyone's background, projects, questions, and hopefully we can help each other out.
Good luck to all! We got this!

Where will we be taking classes in Jax? Is everything going to be more or less localized to a specific location? I'm trying to get a rough estimate of where I should start looking for housing, and I don't want to be too far off from where I'm gonna be driving every day
Thanks!
Hi! Congratulations on getting accepted! Classes are downtown at the hospital, there's a building next to it where we have a College of Nursing suite! We also have some online classes as well. Let me know if you have any other questions! ?

Hi! There are a lot of places to live in Jax! I can tell you students live in different areas such as San Marco and Riverside, which is closer to campus. Some people live closer to the St. Johns Town Center and the beach! It also kind of depends on your budget. Let me know if you have any other questions housing related or anything else ?

I can’t even imagine how many emails Kenneth’s going to have to read on Monday.
I'm a Program Coordinator at my current job, so I can very well imagine the situation at the office on Monday. Despite all the great technology that exists, sending out mass emails with different results to different people can get complicated, and mistakes can happen even when you've double and triple checked.
It's frustrating as an applicant, but also frustrating as a coordinator when these things happen. The good thing is, we should only have to wait 2 more days for clarification. ?

Not sure if anyone else has answered this yet, but I think you get whatever campus they tell you in the email. In order to switch I believe that you'd have to go on the waitlist for the other campus and you would be placed at the end of the line. Not entirely sure so definitely check with Kenneth, but that's what I heard happening last year.

Thank you @McNurse1295!

Congrats to everyone who (so far) got in! In regards to the possible email mix up, this is an excellent introduction to UF CON for you lol we have fun but we live in a constant state of confusion, welcome to the club
1 hour ago, cmcinnes said:The thing is it looks like EVERYONE was accepted to the Jacksonville campus who preferenced Gainesville. Then there are those who weren’t emailed at all.
It doesn’t seem fair that those who selected Gainesville (and were admitted for Jacksonville) would be put at the end of the waitlist for the campus they selected from the beginning.
I’m definitely grateful I was admitted but the location itself doesn’t make Jacksonville a viable option for me.
I guess we’ll know for sure on Monday!
I know that you're very frustrated but this is a super common thing. The feelings of frustration and confusion are just beginning. Great opportunity to practice your patience in preparation for the rest of the program! The good news is that they always fix it, it just takes awhile. There's nothing you can do in the meantime so just take a breath and try to focus on something else! It will all work out <-- your new mantra
***editing to add that all nursing programs are complicated and confusing, there's just so many people to organize and rules for the administration to follow, so don't be discouraged!

Jax doesn’t have an official campus. The classes are taught at the hospital. If you are looking for an apartment look at riverside or river city. Spring field is up and coming but still has it’s occassional car break ins

I agree with @sage-femme: I feel like there will be a correction email going out next Monday. Guess even though we know we're in, we can't be sure where we'll actually be going until then!
Still, I'm super stoked. ???
