UF Accelerated BSN, Summer 2018

Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

I've heard that for the ABSN they look at prereqs and the upper division GPA and the essays. (I think)

I'm pretty sure my assessment email was sent to at least 300 people. I think when I added up the numbers from people who replied here, it was around 700 applicants? Which might be a bit over or could be way under.

I could see UF easily getting 700 applications. I know UNF had 600 applications for the summer semester admission, with 330 having completed applications that were at or over the minimum stats. All for 72 slots. With UF being more prominent, I could see it getting way more than even that.

Thanks, for that info. My stomach is in knots, I hope I get in, but hearing there are 700 applicants, makes me feel a little uneasy, all I can do is pray and hope that if it is meant to be it will be.

Hey guys current ABSN student here! We were told in class today that decisions were finalized last night and decisions will go out Monday... I'm super excited for you guys!!!

Good for you to try again. Did they give you a reason why they didn't accept you the first time? I am asking because if I don't get in, I would at least like to know what I can improve on to try again, like you. Good luck !
