UF Accelerated BSN, Summer 2018

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

Any luck waitlisters?

I'm on the wait list and still haven't heard anything. Holding onto hope!

Nope, haven't heard anything! Trying to be hopeful!

I have applied for the fall 2018 BSN Program, I was told about an assessment that will be sent out. Would anyone please tell me more about this assessment? and how can I prepare for this assessment? Lastly, how long after do they usually take to send the admission decisions? or around when?

Hi Modyzap, sorry that it took so long to reply to you. I was accepted at the Jacksonville campus for the ABSN program that begins this summer. The assessment is something you truly should not worry about. The assessment gives you various situations that you will have to deem most to least ethical. There are also other very general questions about your personality and work ethic. For us, it took about a month and a half to hear about our decisions. We submitted our assessments on January 13th and heard back from the school on February 23rd. I want to stress that you should answer the questions based off of how you feel and that it is also something you really don't have to worry about.

Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything?

Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything?

Nope, not yet! Still trying to remain hopeful though!

I think classes started today, such a bummer no one heard. Good luck to any of those applying next year!

Classes begin next Monday! Orientation is tomorrow and Thursday :)

congrats!

so does that mean if there are missing people from orientation that there would be a chance for the wait listed people

??

I guess not! All the accelerated programs have become so competitive over the last few years.

Hi everyone,

Can someone please let me know what the cost if this program is if you're out-of-state?

Someone told me the in-state but I need to know how much more out-of-state is. The website is a little confusing.

Thank you!
