2014 UF Accelerated BSN Applicants

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hey y'all! Who's applying to UF's ABSN program? Go Gators! :)

Hey guys.

This is Ken Foote from UF CON. I usually check in once in a while to see if there are any threads redarding the application process. If you have any questions regarding your application please feel free to contact me via my email at [email protected]. And yes, decisions should go out by the end of the mont.

Does anyone know how many students get in?

We typically admit around 64 students depending on clinical faculty and space availability.

Approximately how many applications did you receive for this pool?

The waiting game is the worst game of all! Good luck everyone.

Mr. Foote, have the admissions decisions gone out yet? If not, are they still on track to be dispersed by the end of the month?

Hi everyone,

I spoke with someone and they told me they receive around 300 applications and the committee is meeting at the end of the month so they anticipate decisions will be mailed the first of March. Good luck!

So close, yet so far! I think I'll enjoy my SB and find out when I get back to Gainesville. Does anybody know if the letters will be mailed directly to those who put their Gainesville address or will it go somewhere else and come back?

Good Luck Everyone!

From past experience I know the mail is not sent directly to gainesville residents; in fact I usually get mail back home quicker than I do in gainesville. Someone once told me it was because the mail is filtered and actually sent to Jacksonville or somewhere else before it's sent back to gainesville residents. Silly but that's how the mail system works- or so I've heard.

Has anyone had any changes to their ISIS account as experienced by some of the 2013 applicants prior to receiving a letter from CON?

I just logged into ISIS to see if there were changes. I do see holds on my record which is normal - immunizations, update mailing address, update emergency contact. I clicked the "My Record" tab and chose Academic Program and it has my primary major as NSG. I doubt that means anything other than the College of Nursing has claimed me as an applicant, but one can hope. :)

Are you a current UF student drad? Mine just has my current (soon to be) degree, but I am also a student at UF as of now.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one looking through last year's threads.
