2014 UF Accelerated BSN Applicants

Hey y'all! Who's applying to UF's ABSN program? Go Gators! :)

For those that may not have been accepted and are petitioning: Mr. Foote informed me that petitions are typically reviewed in the order they are received. However, he said they might not get to them until Monday/Tuesday.

Just in case anyone was wondering and so everyone isn't asking him the same questions!

From past experience you will find out between 7-10 days about your petition. It's usually a quick turn around.

If anyone is waitlisted, Ken told me that I will know by the 24th... At the absolute latest. I assume it will be the same for those who petition as well. Goodluck!!

Is notifaction about the petition decision provided by email, letter or phone call? Also, are details provided about why a particular decision was made?

I believe everything at this point is by phone call, followed by a letter if you got in. I don't think there are details about any decision except for "due to the number of highly qualified...number of spaces...etc."

In the past petition decisions are sent through email from Ken. It looks just like the letter you got in the mail. Last year I petitioned and my decision came back and they put me on the wait-list, I never got off though lol.

Also if you are wait-listed after the petition, they take the original wait listed people over the petitions.

Ken told me that he's trying for the end of the week (assuming today) or Monday for sure.

I guess Monday it is...unless the weekend counts, but that is highly doubtful.
