UCSF New Graduate RN Residency Program 2018

Published

Hey all!

I graduate with my BSN in April 2018.

I was just curious if anyone has any information about the 2018 Nurse Residency Program at University of California at San Francisco Medical Center? Are they even having residencies in 2018? Anyone know about their timeline and cohorts in previous years?

Although their website says to search for "RN Residency Program" as the keywords, this search pulls nothing up for me.

Any information is appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but you've said you'd also be starting at Mayo Clinic's Heart Transplant ICU and UCLA's CTUICU. If you choose to burn bridges that's your prerogative, but when it affects other people that could be filling those positions, I have to speak out and say that isn't right. ESPECIALLY since we all know these positions are so limited. And, karma always has a way of coming back around, so act with integrity.

Sounds good! So long as I pass my boards, I should be starting at UCSF in their CVT unit. Would love to have the option to choose between CVT and MSICU though but nonetheless excited to have an opportunity there. Good luck to you!

Hello there -- I'd just like to point out that all of these residency programs have different application cycles and so yes... it is possible to receive multiple offers. Just because you accept an offer, does not mean that you hold on to it to the last possible minute nor do I come on the forum to let others know I have rescinded an offer afterwards. I've had some very personal life-changing circumstances that have come to light over the past 4-5 months hence my dynamic job search and quest to come back home (to the Bay Area where I am from). I do make it a point to explain these circumstances to HR, nurse managers, etc. Never in a million years did I expect to have multiple opportunities come my way, but please know it is not my "prerogative" to cuff these highly sought after positions and/or burn bridges. I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way... Hope this clears the air a bit. Feel free to PM me if you have any other concerns or questions. Good luck to you in your future endeavors.

Does anyone know how long HR gives us to have all the 5 references complete the skills survey? I received the reference check on Tuesday but I feel like with the 4th of July being in the smack middle of the week, it may take some of my references until maybe next Monday or Tuesday to complete it.

Anyone have interviews for the OR?

Has anyone gotten the reference email for peds yet, specifically the PICU?

I'm also wondering if anyone's received an offer from the PICU. I didn't receive my reference check either so I'm starting to get worried. Please do let us know!

I didn't receive an offer, but I did receive the reference email for the PICU!

Has anyone received an offer for Benioff New Grad Program? (Specifically Med Surg)

Anyone know if there is a deadline to sign the offer?

hello all. does anyone have the link to sign up for this program? I cannot seem to find the actual application portal/link
