UCSF New Grad RN 2015

Published

Hey everyone!

I noticed there wasn't a thread for people to discuss upcoming interviews for UCSF New Grad RN program.

I'm interviewing for the ICN on 9/2. Does anyone have any insights into the interview process or have anything else they want to discuss?

Congrats to those who already accepted positions!

Has anyone heard from Surg/Oncology? I thought they we're to get back to us by this week. So one more day? Wonder if they will get back to us if we don't get it?

Also, interviewed for 6 Long as well, but Natalie told me she would contact win or lose. So that's assuring.

The wait game is tough :)

R3rohrer,

I haven't heard back from surg/onc but I think I blew that interview. I also interviewed with transplant. Anyone heard from there? I was told the same for surg/onc - that they will have a decision by tomorrow. Not sure about transplant. I know the oncology unit has two openings.

Megora,

Thank you for confirming! Best of luck

Rachel

For those who received calls with offers, did they come from the Nurse Manager or from HR? I have two missed calls and a voicemail from the NM on one of the units I intervewed for and can't decide if that's good news or bad... Thanks!

Just curious, has anyone heard back from 14 Moffitt?

Megora- hopefully it's good news, best of luck!

Can someone who interviewed for 6-long med/surg unit kindly share the names of the interviewers with me please? I have a really bad short term memory for names.

Thanks a lot!

RN.SF.

I don't remember all the names :-( But mark was assistant manager, Natalie was unit manager, megan was one of the floor nurses. I feel terrible, but can't recall the other 2 nurses. Nervous energy I suppose.

I got a call for the nurse manager. Best of luck for all those still waiting!!

Thanks R3rohrer! i'm thinking i should send them a thank you note but i can't remember everyone's names. Its bad to sent only to a few.

@RN.SF

I know what you mean. I wanted to do a thank you, but I never got an email or anything. Just a call for the interview.

Does anyone one have thoughts about handwriting a thank you and dropping on a unit? Is that odd?

Anyways, maybe someone can help fill in the other 2! Teamwork :-)

Transplant is extending offers. I just received a call from the manager. Best of luck to all who are still waiting!
