  1. I got a call for the nurse manager. Best of luck for all those still waiting!!
  2. Gisselab, Oh yay! I look forward to meeting you!!! The more I talk about it the more it looks like the unit gives HR the contact of who should get the paperwork email/references. So maybe ours didn't give HR the list of who they were interviewing. I could be completely wrong, but it helps ease my mind. I will call by the end of the week if I don't hear anything!
  3. Postpartum RN: it was kaiser new grad program in Santa Clara. I was extremely surprised with pay rate I talk to a nurse with 7+ experience and she was barely making that much.
  4. Megora, The unit told me when given the offer that I would be contacted by HR to get references... I'm probably just freaking out way too much! I still feel like this opportunity is too good to be true and that I will wake up to find out it didn't happen. 😅 I'll contact them if they don't contact me by the end of the week! :)
  5. Passed NCLEX on 7/13. I had my first interview for a med surg unit on 7/24: wanted it because I wanted a job ASAP and the pay was $70, not including differentials. But it wasn't the unit I wanted and it was 1.5 hours away from my house (not including traffic). I didn't get offered the job anyways. Went out of the country for 3 weeks in August. Only applied to 2 jobs that were RN Residency Programs. Come back to CA and get a call for an interview for the birthing center. Interviewed the following week, got a call and accepted the offer the next day. I start in October at an awesome teaching hospital, couldn't ask for anything more :)
  6. Can someone please give me more information about these references? Did HR email you or did you contact them? And is it a form you have to send to your references to fill out? I am not sure if I should contact HR or just wait for them to send it, I know it was a holiday weekend but I get so antsy!
  7. I couldn't find it!!!! :/
  8. I received an offer on Thursday 9/3 for the birthing unit. They gave me some information over the phone as to when it will start and what would be the next steps before the start of the program. I accepted immediately before they could even give me an option to think it over. Now I am currently waiting for HR to contact me for references and to do other background screenings...
  9. I got an offer today over the phone and they told me HR would be contacting me to ask for references. Maybe you should call the people that interviewed just to make sure!
