Has anyone heard anything about when the applications will be out for UCSF's new grad nurse residency for Fall 2020? Do the applications for the children's hospital and main adult hospital come out at the same time?
Does anyone know which units will or won't be hiring?
Is there a limit to how many units we can apply to? Does it look bad if we apply to multiple units?
Hi everyone! I'm new here. I was wondering if you guys know any other new grad programs in the Bay Area or outside of it? I've applied to UC Davis and LPCH, and besides UCSF which is postponed until next year, I can't seem to find any others. I am trying to move to the area from AZ so I am not familiar with all the new grad programs there. I greatly appreciate it, thank you!

Thank you so much! Do you know how often they hire for those hospitals in the Bay Area? I was originally supposed to be living in SoCal but my fiancé got a new job in SF, so there’s no point for me to move to SoCal anymore.
Also, why is it so difficult for get a new grad position there?

many hospitals in the bay have their new grad apps open like 2-3 times a year so it really depends. It's competitive in the bay because the bay has the highest pay rate for nurses so they get a high number of people who apply for only like 40 spots in a cohort
Hi, I know this is an old thread, but was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I can't really find much information regarding the requirements for the New Grad Program at UCSF. I understand that the hiring freeze is in place until June 2021, which actually plays to my advantage. I am in my senior year of nursing, and will graduate this December with my ADN. I am in a bridge program for my BSN, and will complete this at the end of June 2021. If the program opens up in the beginning of June, I will still have my capstone course still in progress. Does anyone know where I can find the requirements listed, or if applying to this program is something that will be doable for me? Thanks! Hopefully you all have been able to find jobs in the midst of this pandemic... I hear that many New Grads have had trouble finding positions in the area.
