UCSF New Grad Nurse Residency Fall 2020

Has anyone heard anything about when the applications will be out for UCSF's new grad nurse residency for Fall 2020? Do the applications for the children's hospital and main adult hospital come out at the same time?

Does anyone know which units will or won't be hiring?

Is there a limit to how many units we can apply to? Does it look bad if we apply to multiple units?

I had this problem too. It was really frustrating. Eventually, I just gave up and kept the long password that was suggested.

Hi everyone,

I called HR earlier this week and asked if the program was postponed or canceled for this year. They clarified that it was postponed and not canceled. Like many others have mentioned, they suggested making an account and setting up notifications.

Has anyone heard of any updates? Some of my classmates that are PCA's at UCSF are saying that they might not even have a new grad program this year due to the hiring freeze. Does anyone know if UCSF is going to wait until June 2021 to hire new grads?

I believe they will wait until June 2021 unfortunately.

Anecdotal, but I heard there won't be a new grad in 2020.

I wanted to update everyone here, after speaking with someone from recruitment, the new grad residency program has been postponed until after the hiring freeze is over. Best of luck to everyone!

The recruiter told me the hiring freeze will go on until June 2021
