Hi, I searched for a thread for the UCSF MEPN 2021 cohort, but did see any. I hope this help. I am looking to apply for the CNM/WHNP speciality. I wish everyone one of us all the best n our application.

Got it, thank you! Did you use roughly the 2700 allowed characters? It seems a bit excessive, considering that most of us are also mentioning this experience in our personal and goal statements.

I'm not done yet, I'm planning to do it last but I probably won't use the full character count... I think if you feel you answered the questions there is not need to try to make it longer

Hi Everyone, have anyone been able to speak to anyone in admissions or have you received any replies from the MEPN coordinator , I am having some tech issues but have not received replies from admissions which is concerning

I have emailed a twice since July and recieved no response. I emailed once before covid with both the program administrator and an outreach coordinator and got prompt responses. My guess is that this is due to covid, but I agree that it is very concerning

Hi everyone!

1)What tech issues are you having?

2) In re: to the transcripts, one of my transcripts is coming from a college that will no longer send out paper transcripts, so I ordered the electronic transcript to be sent directly to the MEPN administrator. It was not received/uploaded. I re-routed the electronic transcript to my email, downloaded the transcript and uploaded it to the "Education" part of our application. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS MY OWN WORK AROUND. I did not receive approval/disapproval to do this, but I see in the directions that we can upload the transcript to our application portal. I will order another official transcript and email to the administrator, but for now, I hope this is sufficient.

Again, this is what I chose to do as way to get my application ready to submit, but I am NOT SURE if this is the correct method. I am just one of the eager MEPN applicants who is trying to do my best to complete the application process.

I have only my goal statement to refine and I will be done. Best to all!

Well I submitted my application however I have questions regarding my letters of recommendations since one I coming from kaiser they have a policy around outside emails. I have been emailing for several days my transcripts were sent electronically but has not been downloaded. Although they are working remotely the tree should be some kind of response, especially since we have a time limit . Anyone knows who the outreach coordinator is ?

Hello! Are we supposed to send electronic transcripts to ourselves and upload them or send it to the school? I'm super confused.

I order my transcripts for myself so I could download them directly. Then I uploaded them into the Education section. If they ask for ones to be directly sent to them after I submit my app, I will also do that. Hope this helps.

The following paragraph is directly from the MEPN "Education" section of the application portal. Please note the bold italicized (my emphasis) sentence:

Education Information

Please list here ALL institutions attended, beginning with your most-relevant baccalaureate (bachelor's / BA / BS) degree institution first. For example, if you received a BS in Biology after earlier completing a BA in History, list the Biology degree's institution details first. Also use the checkbox to indicate the Biology degree is most relevant to your UCSF application.

After that, go on to identify the institutions for all other degrees you have received.

Last, name any other post-secondary institutions attended which did not grant you a degree. Be sure to include any institution you attended to complete the prerequisite courses.

Official transcripts must be uploaded to your application or sent directly from each institution's registrar (or equivalent office) to the UCSF School of Nursing.

Applications will not be considered complete until all educational institutions listed have corresponding official transcripts uploaded or mailed to the School of Nursing.

Caution: non-English transcripts must be translated, and non-US transcripts must be evaluated. Allow extra time for your translation or evaluation service to verify your enrollments with acceptable US-formatted details. Be sure that you select a transcript translation or evaluation service with reliable credentials and reputation.

Transcripts should be mailed directly from the institution (or translation/evaluation service) to:

Nursing Student Affairs, MEPN 2020
2 Koret Way #N-319X
UCSF Box 0604
San Francisco CA 94143-0604 USA

Please email [email protected] for any questions or issues on documenting your educational background for your application.

Thank you so much!

Hmmm ? The reason this is confusing is because once you download a transcript it is considered unofficial. When I downloaded my electronic transcripts in the background of the magnetic paper it will say viewed or downloaded so be careful. I was told that electronic transcripts should be sent directly to the school via email . However given the circumstances I am not 100% this is why I have emailed advising
