Hi, I searched for a thread for the UCSF MEPN 2021 cohort, but did see any. I hope this help. I am looking to apply for the CNM/WHNP speciality. I wish everyone one of us all the best n our application.

Your application must be complete and submitted by the Deadline 9/1/2020 11:59PM

If you try to submit anything after it will not work. Last yearn I tried to email ------------------- the following day after the application was due and his email did not work, I got a message stating that the email address was not functional. So get everything in before the deadline!

Also, your application on the recommendations page will show the when the request was sent to them and when UCSF received their recommendation. You can track if they sent in the recommendation.

Bottom line get it all in before the deadline

Anyone else feeling everything going on in the world is making the application 10x harder?

I sent my transcripts in early July and found out on Monday they were probably lost in the mail due to the post office error, the clerk resent them as a courtsy but I just got an email that 2 hours after she put them in the mail the campus evacuated due to the fires. I'm just not sure what to do at this point...

Yes ! I definitely feel that the support from the other side has impacted the application cycle, from the confusion with electronic transcripts, mail delay and lack of response from admissions. I was hoping for a more reassuring application cycle but given the climate I guess this is what it is . I just have to remind myself that I have done everything on my end to be prompt and efficient, I can’t control what others do it’s unfortunate all that is going on .

Has anyone gotten a reply from admissions? I've been trying to email them and they haven't replied. I am wondering how people have sent their transcripts electronically. Are people emailing it to themselves and then uploading it or are they emailing it to admissions? I have mailed my transcripts already, but I don't have any tracking info on them so I don't know if they have been received. I am thinking of uploading them electronically too so if they weren't mailed, they would have a copy no matter what. But I don't know the best way to send it electronically. Please let me know! I have yet to get a reply ? I mailed my and have tracking on them but it still says that the office is closed on my tracking notifications and FEDEX cannot drop them off. What I did is ordered official transcripts to myself and uploaded them.

I sent a very long email to UCSF Nursing Student affairs as well as to Sergio, expressing concern that I or no one (on this thread) has been able to connect with or hear back from anyone from the UCSF MEPN admissions staff about a number of questions we have had for quite some time. In my case nothing since July 22.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call and email from ------------------ today 8/21/20.

My questions were:

Question 1

Is it possible to find out which of my transcripts have been received by UCSF?

We are working to process a large volume of transcripts. Our normal process is to have them all uploaded by the application deadline. If an applicant is missing official transcripts we will contact them. Once your official transcripts have been uploaded you will receive an email from us.

If you upload unofficial transcripts to the online application and if all other parts of the application are complete you can submit and have your application reviewed.

Official transcripts are necessary to confirm grades but not necessary for the screening process.

This is great news to learn !! We can upload our unofficial transcripts so at least we will make it to the screening process, woo-hoo!

Question 2

Which Psychology course is UCSF looking for?

Any quarter or semester-long introductory Psychology, lifespan development or developmental Psychology course will meet the requirement. If you still have questions you can send me the course description of a course you are considering using and I can look at it.

I am feeling a bit relieved as am not sure all of my official transcripts have arrived. But I know I can upload the unofficial ones and the will be there.
