  1. I’ve periodically gone on the application portal to view my completed application prior to the email we all got. There is no difference with my application portal in being “open” except for the red alert of open until October 25. I can’t make any changes, swap out transcripts, update information, or upload any additional documents, like a petition letter. So I don’t know what the letter means when it says the application has been opened back up? It’s always been “open” for us to view.
  2. So, I am going to go through each item on the list of possible deficiencies. I started by looking at the transcripts section. All transcripts are in. When I clicked on one of the transcripts, it showed "error" and could not load the PDF. So, one deficiency identified... I will be combing over each section today. I sent an email to --------------------- and to [email protected], to request for more specific guidance. Will keep you all posted. Best to all of us...
  3. Hello! I received an email as well. I'm wondering if the list of deficiencies is customized to each applicant, or if it is a general checklist. Here is what I was told might have deficiencies or need corrections: You are receiving this email because, after an initial review, we have identified that your application may have one or more deficiencies or irregularities. These may be one or more of the following: -A transcript missing a degree conferral date -A missing transcript confirming a program prerequisite (including confirmation of a statistics course taken no earlier than Summer 2017) -A petition in the event that you are below the 3.0 GPA requirement -1 or more letters of recommendation Did everyone else get this same list?
  4. The following paragraph is directly from the MEPN "Education" section of the application portal. Please note the bold italicized (my emphasis) sentence: Education Information Please list here ALL institutions attended, beginning with your most-relevant baccalaureate (bachelor's / BA / BS) degree institution first. For example, if you received a BS in Biology after earlier completing a BA in History, list the Biology degree's institution details first. Also use the checkbox to indicate the Biology degree is most relevant to your UCSF application. After that, go on to identify the institutions for all other degrees you have received. Last, name any other post-secondary institutions attended which did not grant you a degree. Be sure to include any institution you attended to complete the prerequisite courses. Official transcripts must be uploaded to your application or sent directly from each institution's registrar (or equivalent office) to the UCSF School of Nursing. Applications will not be considered complete until all educational institutions listed have corresponding official transcripts uploaded or mailed to the School of Nursing. Caution: non-English transcripts must be translated, and non-US transcripts must be evaluated. Allow extra time for your translation or evaluation service to verify your enrollments with acceptable US-formatted details. Be sure that you select a transcript translation or evaluation service with reliable credentials and reputation. Transcripts should be mailed directly from the institution (or translation/evaluation service) to: Nursing Student Affairs, MEPN 2020 2 Koret Way #N-319X UCSF Box 0604 San Francisco CA 94143-0604 USA Please email [email protected] for any questions or issues on documenting your educational background for your application.
  5. Hi everyone! 1)What tech issues are you having? 2) In re: to the transcripts, one of my transcripts is coming from a college that will no longer send out paper transcripts, so I ordered the electronic transcript to be sent directly to the MEPN administrator. It was not received/uploaded. I re-routed the electronic transcript to my email, downloaded the transcript and uploaded it to the "Education" part of our application. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS MY OWN WORK AROUND. I did not receive approval/disapproval to do this, but I see in the directions that we can upload the transcript to our application portal. I will order another official transcript and email to the administrator, but for now, I hope this is sufficient. Again, this is what I chose to do as way to get my application ready to submit, but I am NOT SURE if this is the correct method. I am just one of the eager MEPN applicants who is trying to do my best to complete the application process. I have only my goal statement to refine and I will be done. Best to all!
  6. THE application is up! Best wishes to all!!
  7. Hello all, I just checked the MEPN website. The application portal will open July 6, 2020. Have a wonderful weekend!
  8. I’m sure it is a tech issue. I am not worried. It just gives us time to work on the docs we will need to submit. Have faith in UCSF’s long history of doing this every year. My personal statement need constant refining anyway! Blessing and peace to us all ❤️
  9. Hi everyone! I am applying for 2021. Application is not there yet. Given the current circumstances of our world, I'm kinda not surprised. But WOW!, I have been waiting for today for almost three years...I feel like crying, puking, and I am so excited! I wish the best for all of us! OMG!
