Hi everyone, I just wanted to start this new topic for those like myself who are interested in applying to the MEPN program for the 2020 cohort.

Just got my denial letter. I’m absolutely heart broken.

I just got a denial .. good luck to everyone !

Just got my denial. We can try again next year!

Just got a rejection. This stinks! But no giving up. Congratulations to all who go an interview, good luck on next steps.

Just got my denial as well and feeling pretty heartbroken about it. ? Congrats to everyone that got interviews, best of luck on your journey.

Congrats to everyone who got the interview invite. You guys certainly earned it!❤️

Just received my denial as well! I am very much heart broken but I can say I am glad the wait and suspense is over. Best of luck to everyone who got interviews!

Sooooo.... it is 5pm no acceptance or denial. Is this happening to anyone else? Okay to assume a denial at this point?

Does anyone know how many interview invitations they send out?

The email stated “fewer than 150”

For those of you who received an interview invite do you mind sharing your stats/background/experience? Please, and thank you. Particularly for Psych. Greatly appreciated.

Hey since we are still in the process I am a bit hesitant to share my stats as I think they Are very peculiar to my life story. However I’ll be honest and tell you it definitely goes beyond Good grades. My gpa was pretty high but I think where I put the most emphasis was my resume, goal and personal statement. I tried to let them see the whole picture and what mental health meant to me as a person and community member. Whatever I said I aspired to do in my goal statement I made sure I backed it up with what I had done in my life to affirm my interest. Nurse practice to me goes beyond the clinical and I made sure to tell them specifically what I wanted to do beyond that and why UCSF was the perfect place for me to learn that.in My personal statement I really delved deep into my intimate fears and let them know how everything led me to the door step of UCSF. In a more mental way I basically pictured the 10 seats that maybe are available to psych mepn candidates, mentally pulled one seat and let them know why I deserved that seat, what UCSF could do for me and what I could also do to promote the schools mission. Hope that helps. Best of luck to everyone!! See you all in January!
