UCSD 2014 Summer New Grad Applicants

Hi all!!

I wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the UCSD 2014 summer new grad RN program. I applied to 2 Med/Surg departments and according to HR, by the end of this week they will forward the lucky applicants to the appropriate departments for interviews. Yicks!!!

Has anyone on here also applied and has your application status changed from "open"?

Has anyone heard from Thornton ICU? My application says referred to hiring manager about two weeks ago but my status still hasn't changed.

I applied to both the ICU and IMU positions. My ICU application was referred to the hiring department and my IMU app is 'under consideration' as of sept 1st. No word yet on either ?! The wait is awful.

Hi! We applied to the perinatal units. No reference check email yet! What did you interview for and any reference check email for you?

I interviewed for NICU and I did receive a reference check email. What dept did you interview for?

I interviewed for NICU. Did not receive a reference check email yet...hope that doesn't mean I am not being considered? Do you know if everyone gets a reference email, or only those still in consideration? That is awesome that you have received the email! When was your interview/how long after the interview did you receive the email?

I received my reference check a few days later, but I wouldn't worry...they may not be done sending out reference checks yet! Until your status on the career website changes, you are still under consideration. Thank you and I wish everyone on here the very best of luck!:laugh:

Congrats sassafrass44! chad.maili0, I hear the interviews for every unit is very different, but mine was mostly behavioral questions.
