UCSD 2014 Summer New Grad Applicants

Hi all!!

I wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the UCSD 2014 summer new grad RN program. I applied to 2 Med/Surg departments and according to HR, by the end of this week they will forward the lucky applicants to the appropriate departments for interviews. Yicks!!!

Has anyone on here also applied and has your application status changed from "open"?

@CARN123, I saw that two of my applications were referred to hiring department but no word on getting interviewed. Did you?

I was wondering if anyone has been contacted for interviews for the Jan 2015 rotation?

I heard interviews for SICU were scheduled.

No I haven't heard anything. If they have already been scheduling, I don't think I'll hold my breath....or should I...?

I've been keeping up with the FB comments and it seems like just SICU candidates have been called for interviews so far. I haven't read anywhere about others who have the "referred to hiring department" for other units getting calls yet.

I haven't heard anything about interviews for tele, imu, or the med-surg positions.

I'm currently under consideration for tele, but its been a few days :/

For those that interviewed for NICU/perinatal program can you tell me if the questions were NICU specific? or what kind of questions were there? Also, did you do preceptorship/internship in the NICU? Thanks in advance!
