UCSD 2014 Summer New Grad Applicants

Hi all!!

I wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the UCSD 2014 summer new grad RN program. I applied to 2 Med/Surg departments and according to HR, by the end of this week they will forward the lucky applicants to the appropriate departments for interviews. Yicks!!!

Has anyone on here also applied and has your application status changed from "open"?

Mine just changed this afternoon to "consideration for interview" ... That's confusing. I already interviewed.

One of my classmates just got hired into NICU yesterday, not sure how many positions were open though!

My app for Thornton ICU just changed to under consideration today. Has anyone else's changed? Or has anybody interviewed already ??!

What does the New Grad Application to UCSD involve/require? Resume, Cover Letter, Questionnaire, Letters of Recommendation (how many?), References, Transcripts...?

I understand that positions for the January New Grad Program will be posted soon soon and I wanted to be prepared to apply :) Thanks in advance!

Hello... So I have applied recently to UCSD and they require resume and supplemental questionaire. The letters or rec and transcripts are not necessary until you are invited for an interview.also... A cover letter is not required but I always including one anyway ! The supplemental questions are posted the day the position opens up and consist of the usual... Why UCSD, why the specialty you chose , etc... I hope this helps !!!!! I will be applying too (again) ughhhh. Let's keep eachother posted ;)

Hi. Mine is "Under Consideration" too as of 10/29. I really haven't gotten my hopes up though because I thought they were just hiring internally and that posting was just a formality. Let's hope I am wrong
