UCSD New Grad Program Summer 2013

Published

Hello,

I recently applied for UCSD new grad summer 2013, and heard that they received over 900 applicants. I am unaware of the process of interviewing and application process, does any one have an idea? Have any one get a phone call? all I see is that my application were sent to hiring department. Waiting seem to be forever!!

Thanks

I applied to LnD on May 18th.

Specializes in NICU.

Has anyone heard anything? Interviews.. Rejections.. Application updates? I hate this waiting!

Specializes in ICCU/ telemetry.

Does anyone know what it means when the application status says "open"?

I got a rejection email from Hillcrest PCU earlier today.

Same here. PCU rejection :(

What does people's status say as of now and if you can say the unit you applied to please!

I know that if you applied and your status didn't change to "under consideration" then we will be getting the rejection letter soon. This is for the PCU, ICU, ER the earlier programs that came out first. They are doing interviews today and tomorrow. If they don't find what they are looking for in the first group then they will call. The manger told me they will know if they need to call for more interviews by june 6.

Does anyone live in SD?

Got my rejection letter as well. I live in SD and its been extremely competitive here. There aren't a lot of positions to begin with. :(

Ladybug where did you here this? Did you call each unit?

I called the only unit that had "under consideration" on my status. That was the SICU.

I called the nurse recruiter and asked him if our app doesn't say under consideration if we will get rejection letters soon and he said that is not the case. But I guess it is true for SICU. I guess it rely depends on the unit :p
