UCSD New Grad Program Summer 2013

Hello,

I recently applied for UCSD new grad summer 2013, and heard that they received over 900 applicants. I am unaware of the process of interviewing and application process, does any one have an idea? Have any one get a phone call? all I see is that my application were sent to hiring department. Waiting seem to be forever!!

Thanks

I don't see a change in my status. It still says status: application...

Mine was referred too - I spoke with a recruiter and she told me that if we were invited to interview we would receive a call within the next 2 weeks. They were still determining when in April the start date would be.

Hi, I'm curious when was the application for UCSD new grad program summer 2013. I was only able to apply to the New Grad position for the ortho/neuro/trauma/med-surg floor since according to the website, "new grad positions for April are on hold until further notice." I'm just a bit confused and would greatly appreciate if someone could kindly clarify.

Thanks!

Hi jollybnurse! I applied for that position too! Did you hear anything?!? Thanks!!

I think what the rest of the thread is referring to is the new two new grad positions in ortho/neuro/trauma/med/surg unit that received last minute approval. I know I applied. I used to work at UCSD and I believe even my chances to interview are slim. I'm assuming there may be internals on the floor applying, but I could be completely wrong. I wish everyone the best of luck. My status currently says referred to hiring department. Keep your fingers crossed!

dang! seriously 900 applicants? crazy. I wonder how many were "referred to hiring department"...

I am so nervous, due to the information collected, I know that they will only pick about 10 applicants for interview, then make a decision for 1 open position. I also heard that they will start calling for interview in April, I am not sure which week should we expect the call:(
