  1. I would like to get an opinion from nurse practitioners (FNPs) that went to a school in the different state than their job location. Do you think it mattered whether a prestegious titled nursing graduate school made big difference in getting a job? My dilemma is that I got into a school that is (ranking wise) in the top 100 and got rejected from a school that is in the top 3. I was limited to where I could apply since I have a contract with the hospitals currently to stay with them for 2 years. I'm trying to determine if I want to re-apply after I'm finished with the 2 year contract to schools out-of-state. If going to a more prestegious school makes a difference, I was thinking of replying. Any opinions/ experience would be greatful in helping me make a decision. Thanks!
  2. [COLOR=#003366]KevinP Did you apply for part or full-time? and congrats!
  3. Did you apply for part or full-time?
  4. I've submitted my application but it looks like they haven't attached my transcripts with the app. Question: when they asked for a professional reference who did you guys ask? I feel like professional reference would be the same as a reference from my nursing manager.
  5. What kind of stats do ppl normally share? I'll just share the basics BSN from University of Pittsburgh (nursing second degree) Cardiac telemetry nurse for less than 1 year Applied to for FNP program part-time Fall 2014 at only two schools: Upenn and Thomas Jefferson

  8. Has anyone applied or the Methodist Hospital RN Residency program? I don't think the job posting is up yet for this program yet but should be sometime today! Just wanted to start a forum and update each other about the process! If previous applicants have gone through the residency program before feel free to share your thoughts on the processes and experience! Good luck everyone!
  9. Does anyone know what it means when the application status says "open"?
  10. Hey guys! So I called the nurse recruiter and I was told that they haven't called yet but will start calling June 3rd (which was the start date of the in-person interview) and they will be calling throughout the month of June. I also asked how many people they were thinking of accepting into the cohort and he said 20-25.
  11. I haven't been contacted yet so I'm not sure of they have started calling people. I was thinking of calling sometime this week to ask. If I get any info I will post it!
  12. My first choice was the cardio-tele unit! I wonder how many applicants this program received...
