Hi!! I wanted to make a group for new nurses who applied to the fall residency program at UCSD. Applications opened 06/27/2022. Comment if you applied!

Hey! For everyone who interviewed and didn't get a reference check email yet, that happened to me as well but I emailed the person who sent my my interview information about it and received the reference check about an hour after. The said they want it to be completed as soon as possible so that they can begin making decisions.

Hi just updating... I got the call for an interview with L&D on the 1st. Received the email for references on the 2nd. Interviewed on the 8th and heard back today (9th) that I got the job! From what I've heard different units request references at different times so I don’t think not receiving the reference request is a bad sign. All decisions should be made by the 19th so I do still think there may be interviews being held next week!

Congrats! I also interviewed for L&D on the 8th but I haven’t heard back yet. Do you mind sharing your background? I am curious to know what they are looking for and how I can stand out for next time if I don’t get it. Thank you.

Hi! I came across this post and can update that I got an offer for the NICU on 9/8 and had my interview on 9/6. I received a reference check email on the same day as my interview. And yes, I can confirm that there are 20 spots open for L&D so good luck to everyone! Start date is 10/14 if anyone's curious

Congrats!! Do you know how many they interviewed for the NICU?

Thank you!! I still have to take the NCLEX so I’m really nervous LOL. And I’m not sure but from what it sounded like, NICU interviews were only held on that day and they were 30 min slots from 8 am to around 11ish am
