I got a call this morning! I got offered a position in the ED at UCSD La Jolla! They could still be calling for La Jolla, Hillcrest, or the ED Inpatient position!

Same. Wish they would have told us either way

Not at all! I was fortunate to have my senior nursing externship at a Scripps ED, which gave me so much exposure to diverse populations, disease processes, and taught me to always be on my toes! I had work experience as a CNA and had my BLS and Mental Health First Aid certifications at the time (and now ACLS as of Thursday ?). While I think my externship helped me get an interview, I think being honest and passionate as to why I wanted to be an ED nurse in my cover letter played an important role too.

Hi Guys! I just got the call with an offer so don't lose hope just yet!
My status never changed from "referred to hiring department"

Congratulations! I have not heard from the ED so I'm assuming I didn't get it!
Hi! Has anyone else heard anything?

For those of you who got hired, would you be willing to share your cover letter or resume? Just to get an idea of what they look for or what stands out?
