Hi!! I wanted to make a group for new nurses who applied to the fall residency program at UCSD. Applications opened 06/27/2022. Comment if you applied!

It won't let me apply because it says I already applied for this position. This job posting is the exact same as the July 2022 cohort posting. Is anyone else having this problem?
Okay, so I actually called human resources and asked. She said unfortunately this posting was a glitch in the system. If you previously applied for the July cohort, your application stays in the system and you aren't able to reapply for the new posting (which I find really weird so I'm gonna call again in the future and ask). Since they are still wrapping up the July cohort new grad application, she said they don't expect the Fall 2022 cohort application to go up for a few weeks. Super disappointing :/

Hi all. I applied, but I am confused when this cohort starts. Does anyone know what month and if you need to have your license or have already scheduled for the NCLEX to be considered?

Hi there - I applied too. My understanding is that it will be an October start. I do not know deadlines for passing NCLEX, however, I would anticipate it to be at least a month if not more before the start date.
Best of luck. Hopefully we'll get some information soon.
I checked my status today and it changed to not considered (internal candidate hire). Did anyone get the same? I was wondering if maybe the posting was for internal candidates only.

It wasn’t for any of us. Human Resources said it was a glitch in the system (or they probably needed to open it for one person for some reason). That’s why the positions available said for July cohort. She said the fall cohort application would not come out until the July cohort starts, so in a couple of weeks probably. I would definitely keep checking throughout July so you don’t miss the actual fall application!!
Sorry I mean to say status: Not considered (internal recruitment/hire)
Thank you @ratle001 that’s what I figured.

Oh I see what you mean now! That’s super interesting. Well maybe that means they will open the external recruitment soon

Wow - thanks for posting. I just checked and found the same with mine. Maybe this means we won't need to reapply when the open the next application cycle. I called them yesterday and spoke with a recruiter but she did not have information on exact dates for the external app to open. I guess I'll just keep an eye on the application.

Hi guys, my application on 7/5 said (Not Considered - Internal Recruitment/Hire). Then on 7/15 it changed to (Application Processed). Is this because they went through all their internal candidates and now opening it up to external? Anyone else have this? I am having a hard time finding info on when the the program would start if offered a position.
I am reading about the glitch in the system. Will this application stay for when the fall one opens up? Or do we have to apply again? Seems confusing.
