Hi!! I wanted to make a group for new nurses who applied to the fall residency program at UCSD. Applications opened 06/27/2022. Comment if you applied!

All managers were at this event of new grad interviews today, it was only 1 day, so I think they are making decisions and if they are still haven't filled seats they well call back ups...decisions are to be made Sept 19th (one manager said "or later depending if we fill positions")
Hi, what did you apply for as your first option? I'm really confused on how this interview process works! There are managers from different departments?

My first choice was BMT, 2nd ICU (3fg Jacobs), 3rd ED (La Jolla).
I was called from 6 bmt for interview. 6bmt, 5fg(onc/pallative), and 4fgh(surgical onco) are all oncology. The interview is scored by each manager within the department.
The ED manager was present in my interview, which was odd to me because it was the oncology dept. panel.
I had 10 questions total asked. Once the ED manager asked me a question and I answered she had to leave to another interview (she told me before hand that she had to leave because they were running behind on time, started a little late) for another wonderful young lady that was interviewing for NICU.
So I am not sure exactly what dept interviewed today besides ICU and oncology.
Hope this kinda helps

Thanks so much for the detailed message! Wow that sounds like it was a long interview. How long was yours? I'm feeling so nervous! I'm also curious to know why the ED manager was in there.
It sounds like someone else had a 15 minute interview so I wonder why every department has a different length of interview time.

Contact info and they email them a quick survey to fill out about you. They rate you on scales of 1-5 and all the answers are averaged and then given to UCSD in one report

They mainly want email address and name....3 peers or coworkers and 2 supervisors....they well send ails to everyone to fill out and that's all..
