UCLA Summer 2017 RN New Grad Residency

Published

UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

STAFF UPDATE

Tell us about UCLA by visiting University of California (UCLA) School of Nursing | Peer Reviews.

I applied the first day it opened. I spoke with a recruiter at the NSNA convention yesterday and she said that after the status change its usually a week or so to get interview information.

I heard from someone else who applied last year that they had a status change early on but didn't hear about an interview until nearly a month later. Seems there is no set schedule to go by.

Has anyone had their status change if they applied to the ED? I'm getting about nervous!!

Not yet but keep the positive vibes flowing! Still at least a week left to be hopeful for a status change!

Yes it appears that way. Keep positive and hopefully you will hear something soon. :)

I applied 3/10 for Perinatal and NICU, and my status changed this morning. Hoping it's a good sign!

I applied to the ED as my first choice and still no status change!

I applied for the ED as well and haven't had a status change. Did anyone that applied to the ED have a status change?!

Any status changes for NeuroICU or CTICU?

Hi Everyone,

I've been checking your comments everyday since I applied. Today, my status was changed to "Routed to Interviewing Supervisor" I am in nursing school out of state but I am from Los Angeles. My first choice was ED, second was PICU. So, just to give all of you a heads up who applied to ED as your first choice they are moving forward now. Stay faithful. I did not do any extracurricular activities during nursing school, and I applied the second day the application opened. I thought it was only fair if I let you know this information since I've been anxiously anticipating my status change as I'm sure you all have as well. GOOD LUCK

Does it tell you which department you will be interviewing with, or just that it's been routed to interviewing supervisor?

Congratulations on the status change! I am also anxiously anticipating a status change. I still have hope!

Hi all!! I applied for Neuro Trauma ICU and CTICU. My status changed to "routed to interviewing supervisor" today. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi mbruce328, you are the only one I've noticed who's applied to the same departments I did. Would you mind if I ask the background/certifications you have? I'm so confused as to why I haven't had a status change yet. Thank you!

No, it doesn't say where I'll be interviewing. The status has just changed. I'll keep you updated if I find anything else out.
