UCLA Summer 2017 RN New Grad Residency

U.S.A. California

Published

UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

STAFF UPDATE

Tell us about UCLA by visiting University of California (UCLA) School of Nursing | Peer Reviews.

I applied to 1. ED and 2. MICU. I have not had a status change so far. Fingers crossed!

It seems like only a few people had status changes, does this mean there is still hope??

Feeling discouraged at the moment :(

I'm hoping so! lol I'm giving it until the end of this week and then I'll stop checking so often í ½í¸…

I was informed that we should be expecting status changes up until about the end of next week. :)

Hi everyone!

My status changed as of 4/3 :)

Don't lose hope! Last round they updated the applications up until interviews. Good luck!!

Hey nursepepper28,

Did you only notice it today? I wonder what takes so long between the applicants..

Thanks for the update HaileyRae!

Hey nursepepper28,

Hi!

yes, I noticed it today. I think it's because HR has to sort through the applications and then send them to the supervisors. Just keep checking to see if your status changes. I applied the last round as well and my status didn't change until later when others did. Don't lose hope! :)

Hi CaseStudy,

I saw this job opening at Keck USC for OR position that fits for new grad RN. Here is the link:

OR RN Staff (Union) - Surgery - Full Time 8 Hour Varied Shifts at USC

Good luck!

Hi guys! I applied to perinatal and med/surg and my status changed yesterday.

I applied to the Perinatal Department and the OR one as well. My Perinatal app changed yesterday (4/4) to "Routed to Interview Supervisor", but my OR app hasn't changed yet (it's still "Online Assessment Completed") . . . so they're still looking at applications and changing the status, so there's still hope! Fingers Crossed :) Anyone have information on putting in more than one application and what that means if one application moves forward?

Hey Sasanurse,

Thanks a lot. I am going to call human resource on tomorrow. I have questions about that position. California needs more hospitals, lol. Let's, keep positive thoughts going.
